This trip to the Dominican Republic was very special for me because I led a team of youth from our church and my daughter Ciera was on the team.
Our main focus was to build a home for a family. What a powerful experience! Words cannot describe the emotion we felt to see this family taken from a corrugated tin shack and given a solid home with a concrete foundation and furnishings.

In front of the house we built
During the week that we were there, we also did some children’s ministry in a church and in a surrounding neighborhood. In addition, the Lord opened a door for the team to be on the radio. The kids sang and shared testimonies. Ciera shared her testimony of how the Lord healed her eye of amblyopia.

Ciera praying for kids on the street
Our final evening of ministry we ministered to some street children by serving them a meal and leading them in a worship service. I was really moved as I watched our youth ministering to these precious street kids, emphasizing God’s love as they prayed for them. Everyone was crying! Those praying and those receiving!

What an amazing trip. I am so proud of my daughter and her Christ-like heart to serve. I have no words to describe the feeling of watching her serve and minister. What a joy to see this next generation of kids move in the power of God!
