The Persecuted Church – No Geographical or Political Boundaries

Visiting and ministering in this nation was like stepping back in time. Untouched in many ways by modernism, this secluded country has kept globalization at a distance. Religious and cultural tradition is at the heart of insulation. But the Great News of Jesus is not limited by political and geographical boundaries.

It was an honor to be in this place and meet Christians who have to be very careful about expressing their faith. I was impacted in particular when I met a man who has twice been in prison for sharing his faith. His Christ-likeness, boldness and strength left an indelible impression on me and moved me at a deep level to continue steadfast in the call of God, no matter the cost. I also had the privilege of meeting with and ministering to small groups of believers who met in homes.
